Hey Guys!
Today I will be writing about the 5 productivity apps that I use on a daily basis, that help me stay organized and on track all the time. No matter where I am, or what I am doing, I always use these apps.
Remember that these apps are just tools to help you get things done. Don’t expect that when you get the app, you’ll instantly get more efficient.
1. Apple Reminders
Apple reminders is a type of todo list that only works with apple devices, but Todoist or TickTick are also great alternatives, and they are both multi-platform (you can use on different software like Android, Windows, Mac, IOS, etc.). I like Apple reminders the best because, it is such a simple app and it is easy to use. The color scheme and the simplicity of the app, as well as the integration with all my devices (iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch). I also really enjoy the sharing features of Apple Reminders, because it makes collaborating with friends and family really easy.
2. Notion
I’ve tried a lot of note-taking apps over the years like OneNote and Apple Notes, but Notion is my favorite by far. Notion is what I use for taking notes (multi-platform), and it is my second brain. This is an app for architects, which is a person who likes to build up their system over time. I like Notion a lot because it gives me a lot of flexibility with the way I design my system and use it. The searching functionality is really really good so I’m always able to find what I need very quickly. For all these reasons, I like Notion a lot.
3. Fantastical
Fantastical is my Calendar app of choice, unfortunately this is only for Apple devices. I like Fantastical a lot because it has some nice features. The first being that to enter an event, all you need to do is type out a sentence of the event details and the app uses its word processing algorithm to fix up all the details. I think that’s a really good feature and it makes adding events so seamless. The second reason that I like Fantastical is because it syncs nicely with Apple Reminders. When I enter an event in Reminders it syncs to Fantastical. I find this really handy as I know what I have to do for the day.
4. GoodNotes
GoodNotes is also another great note-taking app that I like a lot, which I use as an alternative to Notion. GoodNotes is a note taking app for handwritten notes, so I use Notion and GoodNotes depending on the situation. I prefer GoodNotes while I’m at college. because I can easily annotate the lecture slides, as opposed to copying down the lecture slides in Notion and adding my notes. There are notes like Notability, but I find GoodNotes is the best because of 1 reason: the writing experience. The fluidity of writing on the iPad with the Apple Pencil is really great, which is why GoodNotes is one of my favorite apps. Unfortunately, this app is only on Apple Products.
Thanks for reading this weeks edition! In the future, I will go in depth on each of these apps, so that you can get a better grasp of them, and see if they’re right for you. Have a great week!
